Filipe Machanguana
I topped a bachelor degree in Translation and Interpretation of English to Portuguese and vice-versa, from the University Eduardo Mondlane (the latter, a freedom fighter against the colonial regime), in Maputo, Mozambique. I started working part-time, teaching english while in college, as an assistant teacher, I was given remarkable compliments and comments on how I should consider becoming a teacher, this led me to believe that I had found my calling. I worked for many NON Governmental Organizatons funded by the US government on missions based in Africa. English fluency was inevitabily a major skill requirement considered to be admitted in. I then started my own translation and interpretation firm, Machanguana Services. EI, well known as LEXURU EI today, one that provides service for individual, corporate and governmental entities in Mozambique.
A few years later I embraced an opportunity and moved to South Brazil, where I have resided for almost a decade. I have been able to progressively sharpen my language skills as I experienced learning from prominent brazilian language teaching institutions such as CCAA, Accomplish More, and Wizard by Pearson.
Upon gathering solid experience throughout the years, working with educational institutions, learning about teaching methodologies, mastering one-to-one engagement in conversation sessions, learning how apprentices best learn, I finally decided to create and develop my own language program. LEXURU was born.
